   Swimming is an excellent way to exercise. Like other cardio workouts, it builds your endurance and muscular strength. The big upside to swimming is that there are very few physical restrictions when it comes to this type of exercising.

    Among the numerous benefits swimming has to offer over other popular endurance workouts, below are 3 reasons why it is one of the best:



  • Better on Joints - Running is an excellent way to exercise, but it's really tough on your joints. Once you're up to your neck in the water, your body becomes 90% lighter, which relieves any stress on your skeletal system during exercise. 

  • Full Body Workout - Unlike most common endurance exercises, swimming involves your whole body. You must propel with your legs, balance with your core and stroke through the water with your arms to move correctly.

   Swimming is an excellent exercise that is fun, less strenuous on the body and cost effective. If you swim at the local gym, it's a great way to make new friends too.
